shifting problem !!!

Hi guys .

My brother's 2005 LS V8 (25000 miles) has a shifting problem . Whenever he shifts from the Parking to Reverse , a loud knocking sound occurs but when he shifts from Neutral to Reverse it shifts smoothly with no problem .

Any idea of what is causing this problem ?? .

Bad transmission/motor mount maybe. Where does the sound come from? (general area of the car)

I asked him and told me that he didn't know where the sound comes from but the car shakes badly and makes a loud sound when he sifts from Parking to Reverse????

Misfires Is From The Shaking And The Loud Clunk Sound Might Be From Putting It Into Gear Too Fast
