Shifter removal

Does the shifter on a gen2 remove the same as the gen1 in the OD wire repair tech article? I have tooled mine over but cant seem to identify where the little clip is hiding. Thanks.

if your talking about the knob just pull the lower cover down then remove the 2 screws holding the knob on

Yup thats what I'm talking about. I wanna pull it apart to fix the OD switch wiring. Thank you for the info.
