Shifter linkage / cable differences?

Oh, and it spit out a plethora of codes:

621 - Shift Solenoid 1 Circuit Failure KOEO
622 - Shift Solenoid 2 Circuit Failure KOEO
624 - Electronic Pressure Control Circuit Failure
638 - Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Below Minimum Voltage
652 - Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Failure

Did you put a TCC for a 93 in it? Resistance will be different since new trans is ODBII and 93 is ODBI. I had to swap when I put a 96 trans in my 93.

^ yeah I did but since the connector isn't wired right it gives that code.

I HOPE that rewiring it correctly fixes things, however with the way this has gone I bet it won't.

Hopefully the EPC and TCC solenoid are ok.

It was slow because the TC was locking up.

So I hope this weekend I can have a good look at it.

The guy that installed my trans seems to have had the wiring correctly done, however I think that was the 2nd go around. I gave him the diagram from jerry's article and I think the damage was done there.

Does anyone know a good way to individually test each wire going into the main connector to verify that it is the correct one (not relying on color)?

Yeah it was pinned in the correct manner when i checked it - like i said I bet he found the mistake - rewires it but everything was already toasted.

wow this is still going?

you really should "chunk a solenoid pack" at the car and see where it stands.

We can "talk about" it from now til new years...but until you go drop the pan and replace the burned up solenoids "all bets are off".

unless your waiting for Jamies gang of oompaloompas to appear and majically change it while you sleep.

Thats what I'm going to do probably Saturday. I'm waiting on a replacement solenoid pack.

This thread makes me laugh.... I TOLD you before anything happened that this was going to happen.... and it's still happening.

just another case of giving the information, and having it ignored.
it happens.. over and over and over.

Example: what is the best tuning solution
answer: SCT

then they turn around and do the exact opposite of what you suggested.

typical internet stuff... people ask questions, ignore the answers and wind up worse off than when they started.

Not singling you out Wood_e.. by any means.
it happens ALL the time.

car works now - I replaced the 1-2 solenoid and the TCC solenoid as well as the circuit board.

Thanks everyone

Yeah it was a hard lesson to learn, but its all good...

Now to move on to the suspension!

when i used the p71 re-pin.. my car was shaking and O/D was flashing? is that one wrong as well?

Your 1-2 shift solenoid is blown... end of story. Same thing happened to me. When you wired it incorrectly it blew the 1-2 solenoid and everything else on that circuit board isn't getting a reading because the 1-2 is blown.

Check your codes and you'll see what I mean.
