Shifter lights.

My shifter lights never worked. Is there and easy fix?
I am talking about illumination of PRND21 next to the shifter. I opened it up and did not see any bulbs. LED??

If you want an easy fix, then take it to a competent mechanic. IT don't get any easier than that.

Yes, the Gen 2's have LED's, IIRC. If none of them work, you have to start tracing wires with a meter.

Pull that board out. It's only held in with two screws. Someone before you could have spilled something down off in the shifter. I can send you this board with LED's if you want it and I know it works. $15, if interested, PM me.

Just so everyone knows and happens to come across this problem in the future, apparently someone spilled something down inside the shifter or the board simply went bad but I sent him only the board with LED's and he is now lit up again.
