ses light on and brakes

i just bought a 96 continental with 107000 i was on the highway going about 80 and the ses light came on any help would be good and also it seems like the brake pedal goes down a little further thn it should if u could helpme out would be great thanks

you need to get the codes from the computer.. with that info, we can send you in the right direction. many autoparts stores will pull OBD-II codes for free.
