Does anyone know where i can get a service and repair manual...nothing is wrong ..knock wood..but i would like to know how to take apart and put together certain things...

by the way i tried ebay and have gotten two disks neither one worked on my pc...dont you love ebay..

I am also interested in this.I usually get a haynes manual for all my cars, but the don't have one for the ls.

Real Ford/Lincoln Service Manuals are expensive from the source. (Over $180) But if you lurk on eBay long enough you can get expired Ford/Lincoln manuals on CD cheap. You just have to set your computer date back to a time before it expired. You can also find the Hard copies available once in a while. I got one for less than 1/3 the retail price.

Same thing happened to me, if that makes you feel any better. At least the guy did refund my money, but I really would like to have a service manual also.

Btw, I set my computer date back and loaded/installed the software. I could run the program, and get into some of the options. But when I tried to pull up the manual (which is what I really needed) for my '04 LS it wouldn't work properly.

Sometimes you have to set the computer date back YEARS.

The factory Ford manuals are sold by Helms. You can go to their website and purchase the actual manuals (including the emissions manual) directly from them. They will also sell them to you on DVD. But be warned...they are spendy. But they are the same exact manuals the dealer receives.

Here is the eBay store that had the Factory Lincoln LS manuals. There are none there today, but you might want to keep a watch. I bought the Factory two volume set for less than $50 and a Factory Wiring Diagram Manual for under $25. http://stores.ebay.com/Lorie-and-Jeff

BTW, on those Ford Cd's, you have to set your computer back every time you use the manual. Not just to install the software. A real PITA.

Yes, in my case I first just set the month since that was the only instructions included with either disk. After installing and not having any luck, I uninstalled, set the month AND year back and started over. Still no luck. When I tried pulling up the service manual, my CD drive just kept seeking for a long period of time. I finally just had to eject it to then shut down the program.

Anyway, thanks for the information on Helm factory manuals/CD's. I didn't know this. So, while I'm saving my pennies for one of their CD's ($170), I'll keep my eyes peeled for written manuals on ebay. Shouldn't have any "installation" problems with them. ;)

I am having the same problem...i set the date back but my drive just keeps searching, hopefully i'll geta refund and then start elsewhere..
