Securing License Plate

Any ideas or simple ways to secure the rear license plate on an 01 LS. I have only the two top screws and no places for any other screws. My system makes it rattle a little bit and it sounds ricey, its been really bothering me. Thanks.

Cut out some thin rubber the size of the plate and mount it to the back of it. Lose the rattle. Profilt.

Drill 2 1/8" holes into the rear surround where the bottom screws would go and use some 3/4" #8 pan head screws with washers to secure the plate in 4 places instead of 2.
