why isnt anyone using this handheld? i se alot of people only using the xcal 2. the xcal 3 claims 17hp and 17trq?

has anyone used the xcal 3?

did he say it had a big gain... i would think 17hp and 17 trq would be really noticable

I don't think you're going to get 17 more HP by upgrading from the xcal2 to the xcal3...

i dont think there claiming that the difference is 17hp i think their claiming that the xcal3 gives you 17hp more than stock

yea not over xcal 2. I have a mustang guy down here that use to work on my my mach 1. he has his own dyno and SCT authorized dealer.. I will probably go through him..

Its funny how i've owned two LS's now and live about 10-15 minutes from the SCT headquarters here in Orlando and never cared to pay them a visit, if not to just look around. Oh well.

the device does not generate more or less gain - both can deliever a tune. The XCal3 has more features than a XCal2 but even an XCal1 can deliever tunes to a LS.

Nothin but good things to say about Xcal 3, but I don't think there will be much if any difference from Xcal 2, it's all about the tuner and what he gives you to load onto your car.

I just noticed on the SCT website they have a xcal fuel economizer type unit. What could that thing do to tune the car to gain a 10% increase in mpg that wouldnt make it drive like crap or a decrease in performance? Even at a 10% gain, thats spending $400 for 18 mpg instead of 17 mpg ? I'll pass.

14-15 rw hp, but there is more to a tune than power, better throttle response especially on 2 nd gen, positive shift points, possible better gas mileage or at least more power without reducing gas mileage.
