scm reset after timing out

i need a suspension reset switch so i pump my bags up after a full slam, it just times out after the front is filled. the only way i can get the back to raise is to reset in the trunk or to remove keys and open door and put keys back in and the back will go up. how can i wire a reset (on/off) from the scm, like in the trunk.
 
the pump times out after 90 seconds for a reason.

i dont think you realize how hot the compressor gets during this process.

If you do as you are wanting to, your gonna kill the pump very quickly.

but if your hell bent on wrecking the pump, extending the harness that is in the trunk and moving that switch into the passenger compartment is pretty much "a no brainer".

But..as I mentioned above, "I" wouldn't do it myself as I know first hand how hot and how quickly the pump heats up.
 
i never said that i wanted to run the pump non stop, i said i don't want to reset it in my trunk every time i want the thing to reset.

thanks for the input onebad, your bags can come up from slammed front and then rear in less than 90 seconds, wow i can hear the front fill then stop, and the rear bags get to the point where they have enough air where they just start to move and the system times out. then i have to reset (after the appropriate cooling time, of course.

i am sure i am not the only person that has had this problem, if i had money to buy the 9 dollar switches at radioshi t (4 more) i would but its suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a rip off.
 
Wow.. my junk is wore out. I can't even fill my front bags before the compressor gets pissed :lol:

I key cycle my car 2-3 times regularly :lol:
 
If you are adventurous you could pull your compressor out and dry out the dryer beads and clean the commuter of the electric motor.... That should make a huge difference...

I never said anything about "YOU" running your pump non-stop.

I did warn both yourself and other people that will run across this thread in the future about WHY you dont want to run the pump "overtime".

I'm sorry my reply didn't fall into the baby food category that you could swallow and digest easily.

With that said, you wont have any problems like that in the future.

I gave you good accurate information, the poster you THANKED for the input only said "his works better than yours".

i guess i misread? i am pretty sure you were talking about me wanting to run my pump nonstop, i know i cant spell but i thought i could read. i did not want spoon fed, i wanted some useful information other than don't run overrun your compressor (obvious) and sure you can run a switch from the trunk to the cabin, great i could have told you that.

and onebad told me my pump was not working to its full potential and kk told me how to fix it. thanks for the information, again onebad and kk.
 
would it be a good idea to dry the dryer beads out or should i get a new one? and whats the procedure for cleaning the commuter? i have never seen any compressor maintenance posts like drying the dryer out and cleaning the commuter, new info for me! :)
 
I'd just blast the comm with electrical contact cleaner and blow the housing out with compressed air... the beads, I used a food dehydrator.
 
cool i have pcb board flux cleaner so that will work, but i don't have a food dehydrator. maybe a fan or something for a few days? ill have to inspect my 95's before i do it to my 98's thanks for the information.

Just for conversations sake.

down here in the high humidy texas region you can buy those beads at academy in bulk.

They aren't expensive either.
no need to buy a new dryer unless yours is physically damaged.
 
XLRVIII whats academy? car store or something, i dont think we have those here in ohio.
 
google is my friend, but lvc search is not. damn i don't have a vise to open the dryer, hmm... will have to figure something out.
 
how are you slamming your car? ray's switch module8 etc. or does it just leak all the way down over night? if so the compressor is more than likelly shot.

mine would lift it up from a full drop (with rays switch) in under 90 sec. but that wasnt fast enough for me so now i can in 45 sec (2 compressors :D)

yup its even better now since i cleaned out my vent valve on my v1 spider. its loud and drops fast in the rear too. i got a check air message cuz it couldn't see the rears lowering.......luckily i checked the spider valve first and it was completely packed full with crap. the rear didnt have the weight of the eng to force air through. it never seemed to sit all the way down......till now :D BOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! sounds semi brakes
 
Mine is in "quiet" mode, and I'm too lazy to pull the liner out and change it back to loud!

what kind of crap was in there?
