RPM needle not at zero

Hey guys,

I recently had a coil replaced. The day after the engine started slightly shaking again, as it did before I had the coil replaced, but it's been two days nwo and the engine shaking hasn't come back. I only drive it for short distances so I'm not sure if it will come back over a longer drive. Also, now the rpm needle doesn't settle at zero. It stays between 500-1000.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

if your car is on the rpm needle shouldnt stay at zero because the engine is turning. between 500-1000 is normal for idling

You probably need to replace more of the coils, best bet would be to replace all of them.

If it does this with the key off, then you need a new cluster, or to just live with it. (I would pick the latter.)

I appreciate the help. I may take it to Ford and bring the Service Notice regarding the free coil replacements. Unfortunately, I found out about that after I paid for the one coil.
