Then you would all so have the third brake light hump obstruction in the window, not as attractive and a lot of work and expense just to have roof spoiler as you stated.
 
Cutting out a notch for the brake light would still look good, witha wing like that.

What do you mean. The first gen LS dont have the third light on the ceiling so swapping it out would get rid of that not?


I am not that familiar with the interior of the 03+ LSes but I could have swore I read a old thread of someone swapping headliners and rear speaker decks out to update the look of a gen 1 and mimic the gen 2.

But yes as I said unless you have easy access to the other parts doing it just for a roof spoiler on a 2nd gen is pointless. Also think about the defroster lines:shifty: whoops I didnt think of that till now.


IMO cutting something out like that one from AC Schintzer would work but I myself don't think with the flat look to the Audi roof spoiler I posted it would look right. Thats just my opinion and my reasoning is that the AC Schnitzer spoiler come up and off like a visor ( but not as dramatic ) and the Audi one lays flat like a sun strip.

anymore ideas? after reading all threads here i think i'll have 2 versions:
1. flat spoiler for non LED center lights
2. and for the 2nd gen LS (like mine).
I'll post pics in a week or two when finished.. I caught a flu and this is delaying a bit this project..

Like I said before it is more of like a sun strip but instead of being vinyl tape its fiberglass or something. I guess it would be a rear window spoiler in actuality.

Make me one on the quick and cheap and you got a sale since you have a second gen.
 
Oh, and CArbonTC, what is this new leather upholstery in your sig? PICS?

I have a buddy with a Lexus Ls 400 on another forum that is switching out his foam for memory foam and now I am thinking,... but it wont ever happen!

I have 2 brands of leather, 1 is spinneybeck and the other i cant remember the name hehehe... i'll come back when i do.. lol :D :D

i'm working on it. The product is finished but right now my brother and I are testing in in several car washes. I think it holds pretty tight with the newest 3M double adhesive tape, but still i have a bad feeling in longest car wash tunnels. So be patience, I'll come back with pics soon.

Carbon.... you and I need to colaborate... in the spring I'm moving to Boca. We definately need to get together whn I'm down there. I'm working on a modified version of the black PS Kleen did.


Kleen, you get a chance to work on that mix of the three pics i sent you?
