Road America Touring June 20th

The gf and I are heading to Road America for the Nascar Nationwide race June 19th. We'll also be doing the track touring again on Sunday the 20th. If any of you guys are going to be there, let me know and we can meet up. If we get lined up for touring, we could get some pics of multiple LS's on the track. Advance ticket deals until the 9th.

Still never been to Road America I want to get there this year. Can't do that weekend though.

We'll be going to the ALMS race in August, but I don't know if there's touring that weekend. For sure at the fall vintage weekend in September there will be. Check their website.

If you click on the race and then the schedule tab, it will give a link for a pdf schedule for the weekend. Touring - if it's offered - will be around noon one or more of the days. Also if you click Buy Tickets, one of the advance purchase options will be the touring if it's being offered.

The touring isn't put on the by the track, but rather by the sanctioning body running that days events. When I first was looking at the schedules a couple months ago, there was no touring offered the NASCAR weekend. But the SCCA, who is running Sunday's events including the Trans Am race, must have decided to add it since it's on now.

In the faq's, there's a section on touring with some rules, but you'll find those also change from event to event. Last fall at the vintage weekend, I had to show a driver's license, fill out papers, have the car teched and attend a short drivers meeting. But a couple weeks ago, all I had to do was sign a release, pay and line up 15 minutes before it started.
