rim size matters

does rim size effect wheel speed sensors and advance track issues or just run type issues like a spare will it signal the improper revolutions and or throw a code ??? how do you guys solve the indifferences for instance

It's the exterior diameter of the tire that is important. The spare, 16", and 17" wheels all have the same exterior diameter (within a couple of percent). The system can deal with a percent or two of difference. It has to be able to because of different inflation pressures and different amounts of thread wear.
People that swap in 18" rims use tires with a shorter side wall, so that the overall (exterior) diameter remains about the same.
