The RR window has never worked since I have owned the car. I bought another window regulator and motor assembly a few days ago.

I took the door panel off and removed the old regulator from the window and door frame but before I disconnected the electrical connector I thought I would hit the button and not surprisingly it didn't work. But, I connected the new regulator and it doesn't work either! While trying the button I could hear a small click in the trunk, so I traced the sound to an electrical box on the passenger side of the trunk.

Does this "box" in the trunk have to be replaced? I need to see if when I hit the button if power is getting to the motor but, I won't have another opportunity to work on this car till the weekend. Anyone have this problem before?

The box in the rear is called the REM (Rear Electronics Module). It could be the problem, or the wiring between the door and the REM could be the issue. I'd test the wiring before replacing the REM. (But then I would have tested the window motor before replacing it.)

This will be the third window regulator to be replaced. The DF window's was replaced before I bought it and the PF was replaced 2 months ago. Sooooo, testing it would have been ideal, but when you have had two bad before and this is an common issue with this car, it makes sense just to replace it don't you think?? :shifty:
