I've noticed my 2005 Lincoln LS V8 is a little wobbley since I bought it a few months back. I thought it was the alignment, so I got that done, then I figured it was the tires, got brand new Bridgestone Grid's, rotated, balanced, and alignment again. I just can't figure out for the life of me, why it wobbles periodically when driving on smooth surfaced roads. Not BIG wobbles either, small ones.

I tried to see if the rim was bent, by watching my wife drive it, from each side...and I can't tell, but I can see a subtle body movement even in the parking lot where its smooth concrete.

Help?

i would think the toe links would've been addressed by whoever did the alignment. Maybe a bent half shaft? I only guess that because you say you can see it wobble.

If it's bent, do you think the guys at Firestone could've seen it while putting the new tires on and doing the alignment?

It's not much of a wobble, but it is noticeable...wierd.

What can bend the half shaft? Pot holes? Riding on an imbalanced tire for a long time?

Mine has started to do the same thing this last couple of weeks. I was going to head it to the alignment shop this weekend, but I forgot till i got into it again today and it was too late.

If I can get them to see what is wrong I will post up here!
