So I'm wondering if my LS has another issue or if this is normal with the LS V8 sport....when sitting at idle and i rev the engine it never goes much above the 2s. I mashed the pedal to the floor and it still won't rev to high...maybe upper 2s tops. Is this normal or is something else going on. Would that be related to another issue that I haven't realized?

Works as designed...
Rev limited in park or neutral. Also on gen II throttle response is greatly damped in park or neutral.

Thanks Joe, you da man! ;)

I was showing someone the car last night and they were suprised the LS had almost 300 hp so when they stepped on the gas you barely heard anything and they were concerned seeing as though usually it will go up there but sounded like the engine was straining. I feel sooo much better. These LS'es are particular little things!

I don't think that this is a rare or unusual feature for the majority of modern automatic cars...
