i got an 01 lincoln ls
i want to replace the turn signal in the front and brake lights into led bulbs
would i have to use red or amber bulbs or white?
what would i get better results?

Match the color of the bulb to the color of the lense. For the turn bulbs in your tail lights, it's best to go with red, but you can do amber or white

so the brake lights would look better if you match the lense as opposed to just getting white bulbs?

If you put a red lens in front of a white LED, then most of the light is filtered out. (White light is a combination of colors. For humans, the ones the matter most are red, green, and blue. The red filter eliminates the green and blue light.)

If you put a red lens in front of the red LED, then it hardly reduces the light output at all. Red LEDs are easier (cheaper) to make anyway and last longer. (White LEDs have a phosphor to convert the single color light into white. That phosphor fades eventually.)
