I replaced my batteries in my fob keyless entry and it only works intermitantly... The batteries are definetly good I had them tested... Does it have to be reprogramed? If so how do you go about doing that? It worked great before I changed the batteries but the distance was cutting out. So I figure removing the battery must have done something.

dang dude, you either have the worst luck of anyone I've ever seen... OR you could f*ck up a crowbar in a sandpile! (joking smile)

I have to give you credit for perseverance though.

NOW..with that said, it sounds like you have a poor battery connection in the remote...you probably need to bend one of those little tabs that holds the battery in place.

If it works intermittantly that means it doesnt need to be re-programmed.

Hey I got that mustang trans working great... I'll try bending the tabs and see what's up and report back

good deal bro, just bustin yer nutz as usual..

i hope the tabs deal works, its the only thing that makes sense.

That makes sense I messed it with it a bit while wAtching all the holding penalties in USC Buckeyes game. The tabs inside are pressed down... I bent them up and it seemed to get tighter but I don't want to have the tab touching the circuit board

also pull the remote apart and under the rubber button pad you can lightly use an eraser to clean the green pcb board ,then wipe it with alcohol to clean up the rubber eraser shavings.
