Well I Think I might have a failing rack based on the symptoms and replies so I was wondering before I start ripping and tearing is their any special advice on taking this rack out or anything I should look out for?

I know on my fox you have to raise the motor a little bit to replace it do I have to do this on the lincoln?

I replaced mine without raising the engine or lowering the cradle. It would be an easier job if you do one or the other. I had to use stubby end wrenches to get the pressure side coupler at the rack loose.

Something I would suggest is to replace all hoses at the same time and put an in-line filter on. The Mercon III fluid they used from the factory eats the inside of the hoses and will contaminate your fresh fluid and rack. If you decide to do this, and your going to use jack stands, its easier to pull the bumper cover to get at the hoses on the ps cooler.

All in all not a hard project just a tight fit for fat hands.
