I think it's located under the dash on the passenger side behind the glove box and slightly to the left. I saw the one on my '97 when I was under the dash doing something a couple of years ago. Looked like it wasn't too terribly difficult to replace. Maybe.

While your under there check the heater cores hydraulic fluid.If it's low add Mecron 3 to the right defrost panel on the dash, the location is listed in the owners manual.
