I finally decided to repair the trunk lock cover. I had got a repair kit from Geno in Red about a year and a half ago. I wasn't happy with the Red. It just doesn't match right. Plus repairing it this way doesn't have the depth it should so it stands out like an add on. I Thought about cutting a piece of Plexiglas and removing the old piece to put the Cobra Star under it for that stock look. To much work though. So I decided to try painting it flat Black as that color looks recessed. Masked it, roughed it, washed it, masked again, and painted. Well that worked pretty good. I then tried to apply the chrome Cobra Star and I guess because it was old the paper stuck to the back (so unusable). Well my wife bought me a set of chrome Cobra Star decals from Geno last month and although not as nice as the real metal ones there nice. So I cut out around one and put it in water. Hours later and it will not come off the paper. While I was waiting I thought about the stick on Black and reflective silver center caps I got from Geno about 6 mounts ago. So I cut out around one and used a piece of clear tape to hold it in place. I liked it so I peeled of the backing and stuck it on there. I LIKE ! I then painted a old center cap black so if this decal ever comes off the paper I'll stick on it.

Nice :)

Someone stole mine, so I used a black piece of vinyl and made an insert, then got a decepticon transformer badge (lol) and stuck it on that. It actually looks pretty cool, lol and is quite subtle. ;) I got 6 for $3 from eBay so ppl can steal 'em as they wish now, lol....
