i just bought a 98 lsc that had wheel lip moldings and the chrome lower body strip. i have allready removed the wheel moldings and the paint is clean underneath. can anyone give me pointers on haw to remove the strip?
it seems to be held on by glue. thanks ken

heat gun, 3m sticker and adhesive remover. spray the edges with the remover wait a little while, then heat one corner and pull slowly, keep heating the strip while you pull and it should come off.

heat gun

I removed that crap chrome from the lower part on my 98. I just used a heat gun. a plastic puddy knife, and pliers. Don't get it too hot or you could blister the paint. I had a few small places it messed up. Once you get it started pull with pliers slowly. Mine curled as I removed it. Just like opening an old style can of tuna. It looks so much better after it's off. Take it to a scrap yard and get some $$$$ for it.

I think the instructions said use lots o glue. At the scrap yard all that heavy glue made the stainless weigh lots more.
