I just got my LSE grille for my 02 LS and the thing looks freak'n SWEET! Thanks Lskoncepts! Anyway to my question, I think the car will look better with out the front license plate shroud. So I take off the skid plate underneath the front fascia thinking I could get to the bolts that mount the license plate shroud... Nope! I then realize that I'm probably going to have to take off the whole front fascia just take the damn thing off. Is there an easier way or is that the only way?

are you sure there bolts... i remember them being plastic push in clips... I don't see them putting nuts and bolts, unless the previous owned did it... take your license plate off and you will see...

i just took mine off like 5 days ago...take the liscence plate off, then there should be 2 bolts that go into the bumper, than after those 2 bolts are gone, the last thing to do is to push up or down on the clips that are clinging on the the lower grill. It should take no more than 7 mins. I forget if the clips get pushed down or up before you pull it off....

I use the vinyl push-ins myself. Much easier to remove it for a cleaner look when taking pics if front plates are a must.

After I took off the license plate the shroud looked like it was hanging on by two bolts screwed in from the back. Is there something covering the bolts? I'll try what you said after I get off work.

Pop rivets on my 04, you have to drill them out. They are added on by the dealer not the factory depending on original state sold.

So my 02 has actual bolts? I'm going to have to take off the front fascia to get to those bolts... I felt around in there and there's no way to get to them without that. Unless somebody else has run in to this and has a better idea.

Mine had those square clips that the screw goes into, kinda like those clips on the splash guard. The dealer could have done anything. If it is required by law where the car was purchased they could have done that themselves.

Or if the original owner lived in a state where the front plate wasn't a law he could have moved to a state where it was and did it himself.

I'll try to take picture of how it looks behind the license plate later to day. I looks like they screwed it on from behind the fascia or maybe it's just me. I was very tired last night when got started working on it.
