theres a small triangle like amber colored piece in my headlight assembly and i was wondering if i could just take this out and use a clear piece.. wanted to get the chrome looking turn signal bulbs that still flash amber.. but it makes the entire headlight look white... now that piece is the only thing that stands in my way.. is it the law that tuen signals in the front must be this color? anyone got a schematic on how to take out the assembly?

You cannot remove that piece for the same reason you cannot add angle-eyes - there is no easy way to open the newer headlights. One person was able to take them to a company that specializes in it - they cut the plastic len off and then glued it back on.

The DOT standard is that you must have a white or amber turning light and that you must have a amber reflector at the front side of the car - so if you live in an area that has yearly DOT inspections it could be an issue.

I was able to get the headlights apart with a dremel cutting disk. I then took out the amber lenses and painted them silver to match my car. I also added angel eyes while I was in there.

Only way to get the newer black headlights apart is to cut them apart.

looks very nice man. i dont know if i want to go cutting on the old girl tho.. gonna have to think about if its worth it.

On ebay if you look up angel eyes for LS there is a guy that sells the headlight housings for about 350 with angel eyes of your choice... and at that time you can have him put in clear corner lenses and paint the bezel to any color you want.

do u have detailed instructions on how to take them apart or where u started cuttung them at??

If DOT is a problem due to not having an amber reflector you can always put a stick on reflector for the inspection then take it off.
www.lightwurkz.com does angel eyes for an 03+ LS but they want 500.00
