I have a leak from my ABS stuff in the drivers side wheel well. I can't really see much and I guess it will have to come out.

Anyone pulled one lately? Anything to watch for? None of my local Ford dealers have a T90P-50-ALA to do the trick self bleed stuff so I guess I'll have to work around that. I have a pressure bleeder now so I can bleed it down to the fittings if I want. It was the pressure bleeder that showed me the leak.

lots of aftermarket scanners can do the self test to bleed no need for the factory crap...snap on...otc, lots of em do it...but the $100 hand helds won't do it

Check the return line. Its a larger rubber hose from the ABS pump to the master cylinder. There is a chance that the old rubber has failed.

I sure hope so but seeing I was watching a steady drip at 15lb pressure and that there are no drips without and because the supply tube is not under pressure, I doubt it.

Edit:
Well of course I had pressure on the big supply line too. Well lets hope. That will be much simpler than rebuilding the thing.

I had to replace abs on my old 93...unit failed and was leaking externally

This is what I fear I will have to do. Did you get a new/rebuilt motor and rebuild the housing? That is kinda what I plan to do.

my abs pump died. replaced it with one from rock auto. not hard, but pretty involved...

The ABS pump isn't that expensive. The ABS Hydraulic unit, however, is much bigger bucks.

I've got all that laying around if you can't find one in a junk yard. Like stated before not hard but allot of stuff in the way and I hope you got some pb blast and line wrenches.

Thanks, I'll keep you in mind. I've been fighting flu so not much is getting done right now. I'll dig into it in a few days.
