remote to amp from factory head unit?

i tapped off the OEM amp in the trunk.

You used the scosche converter?

You tapped the speaker wires BEFORE the amp?

..you only tapped into one set of speaker wires, or all four?

I tapped into the RH rear speaker. After the amp of course. It's not working. I tapped into it twice, thinking one for left rca one for right. Or, blue and one for white .. on the FAI-3A and, nothing.

It says to tap all four speakers. It's not taking into consideration a factory amplified system, I'm thinking. And, why should I have to tap into all four. Signal is signal.

Thanks VR!

I just used a high to low converter for mine that came with my amp and tapped one of the rear speakers. Used a fuse tap thing for my 12v remote and tapped a fuse on the side of the dash. My subs worked fine until I bought an aftermarket stereo and hooked it up right.

Maybe I'm a little confused having never hooked up a stock head unit to subs.

I didn't even think about that. I was assuming the rca's out of the converter I have hooked up the same as you was doubled as remote when hooking it up this way. DUH. didn't even give it thought.

thanks. lol.

tapped into both rear speakers aftert he amp. bridged 2 channel amp to my sub. tapped in remote turn on into the turn on lead for the stock amp.
