I took my 01 Ls to the dealer this past Saturday to get a few things done since it's now well over 150k.

I had them change the transmission oil along with flush out the power steering fluid(They recommended that one)

The strange thing was that on Lincoln's maintenence schedule it has this which I've never had done :

Inspect and lubricate all non-sealed steering linkage,ball joints,suspension joints,half and drive-shafts and u-joints

But when I asked for it, they said I didn't need it... something about everything in my car being sealed.

Does that sound right? What I dont get is why does Lincoln recommend it...

I just want to be sure that this guy knew what he was talking about.

That maintenance schedule book seems to be the same one printed for all Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. There are several things in there that don't apply to the LS.

joegr is right. The LS's joints are "sealed"--ie, they have no zerks, so there's no way to lube them without damaging the boots. It's just odd to have a dealer not trying to take you for a ride, isn't it? :D
