Relacement seat leather and cushions.

Sometime very soon I plan on freshening up my interior. I believe I will get the seats replacement skins from Leatherseats.com as they can also supply me with extra suade to do the dash cover and headliner. Gonna do a custom two tone with the current leather color and suade for the center of the seats thats closer to the door tops and dash pad. The skins alone are gonna be $1200 so if anyone knows of a better place, please let me know.

The seat foam is my issue. Where can I get new foam already shaped? Is that just a pipe dream and I will have to shape it? Cause if so then all I can do is tape the cracks in my foam and slap it under new skins.

I am interested in the seat foam issue as well. My skins are fine but the drivers side upper seat foam has been flattened out.

My guess would be buy a used set of seats with better condition cushion. Upholstery shop, I had my bike seat done in some ostrich and had them fill in a torn out piece I had in the cushion, they maybe be able to add some cushion on top of the old one.

Any GOOD upholstery shop can create a new one set of seats based off the old seats foam and all. My uncle owns a shop and all they need to make my new seat skins and foam is the old seats

I need to look harder then because 2 local ones would not touch it.

Its easy to cover the seats yourself which is why I am just buying the premade skins and installing them myself. I have already fixed the foam before but the tape I used wasnt that great and I can feel it seperated again. I guess I will see if any shops around can duplicate the foam if I bring it to them.

I found some from (I think) katzkin for 1g. I called and made sure but that was about 4 years back.

I was quoted around $100 from a good shop to have the leatherseats.com covers installed, including foam where needed, but that was for front only. It was another $80 to have the Lincoln emblem custom embroidered. They wanted $1200 to do the fronts from scratch.

If you call them, ask if they sell fronts only. I assume they do since they make them for each order. My rears are fine and I don't plan on any customization, so I'd rather save the cash.

1200 sounds like a good price for top grain leather. the cheapest i have been qouted for sknis with new cushions included was 1800.

Do as much looking as you can locally before anything else. The closer you are to the southern border, the better, if you get my drift.
