OK guys... I have read and read and read review after review of different tires. I'm exhausted and confused at this point. I need your help.

I have stock 16" Lincoln rims and I don't drive like a Nascar driver. I do drive in the Dallas/Ft Worth MetroPlex every day and put about 50 miles a day on the car. I want a very quiet tire which handles well in rain and on dry pavement.

I would prefer a long life (around 50,000 miles).

I'm currently leaning towards a set of "Yokohama S.drive" because everyone says they are whisper quiet and handle well.

You guys drive the same car I do so I thought I should ask the experts.
I'm just confused... please help?

Nothing from up here, I have to be able to go through this stuff called SNOW. I can't have quiet AND grip :(

Yoko's are really good tires though!!!

I got Dunlop SP Sport Sigs. Its a Ultra HP All Season. They discontinued it, so their fairly cheap now, about 70% off original

I have bridgestone pontenza's and they are by far the best tire I have owned. There are sooo quiet. I just switched to these from goodyear f1 all seasons and goodyear f1 gsd3's They were soo loud especially the gsd3's.I had the dunlops, they were ok. But two thumbs up to potenzas.

A vote for the Bridgestone Pole Position RE960ASs. Quite a bit better than the stock Michelin HXMX4s.
Have Michelin X-Ice Xi2s for winter but I'm waiting for the white stuff before passing judgement :p

Continental extreme contacts my choice works excellent in all weather conditions fairly priced also.

Anyone tried any of these?

Kumho 716 Solus $87.00 each

Kumho Ecsta ASX $109.00 each

Yokohama S.drive $115.00 each

Yokohama YK520 $127.00 each

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S $141.00 each

These are my top picks due to their reviews.
Believe it or not, the cheapest set @ $87.00 rate really well. I'm just not crazy about the way the side wall looks. My next choice is probably the Yokos for $127.00. The only thing stopping me is the next set I listed. The Michelin's for $141.00. I have had Michelin's in the past on different automobiles and have always loved them. They are just so damn expensive.

Any input is welcomed. I really appreciate the help.
Money is tight right now... so the price really matters.

Get Goodyear Assurance TripleTred. Now thats coming from ConsumerReports.

i have the dunlops and i love them. tried them out in the rain one time and the grip was excellent. arent that noisy for performance all season but they are pretty good. i heard yokohamas are good but the tread life is sub par. also you cant go wrong with michelin and bridgestones. and honestly, i know tires can get expensive but like with all cars your car is only as good as the tires that it rides on. if you buy cheap tires dont expect performance from them. you may not drive like a nascar driver but there are moments when you need to do some crazy manuevers and you are going to want some tires that can handle it when you do.
