I was thinking of rebuilding my engine because of the clicking the sound drives me crazy I went and had just lifters priced which came to about 15 a piece which came to around 500 bucks for 32. I need some advice on how to go about this. The clicking has to stop. I'm not totally sure its a lifter because I haven't dug into the engine yet, but what would the best choice here? Just buy a complete used low mile engine or tinker with this one? Any rebuild kits out there recommended?

The mod motors are so cheap to buy, just find a low milleage unit and swap in a new one. They just aren't worth doing a rebuild to, unless your building it up.

Do you think fixing a sticky lifter and putting in a week end would be cheaper then buying a new engine? I saw some lifters for 170 and a gaskets set for 50 and some bearings for 70 everything still cheaper then a engine but your right alot of work. Not sure if thats the exact pricing either just at a quick glance.

Anyone got any spares laying around hahah

I'd just run your motor till it dies and then pick up a good one for $300-500. I have a good running motor out of a 97 I'd sell ya for $500 if you were closer.
