I jus sat in the back of my dads s500 and the back windows go all the way down! Its been like 2 years since he got it and i jus noticed it. Is there any way to make the LS windows go all the way down? Just a hunch

thanx

aftermarket regulators maybe? would be a good idea replacing the prone to failure ford ones I have.

I'm sure there is but I am positive its a child safety feature. When I was young and dumb I used to hate those things, you could never reach out far enough to toss milkshakes at people you didn't like. Now that I have kids I wish you could lock the damn things like the child safety door switch.:D

Umm, there is not enough room in the doors, you can lock the rear windows, and why waste milkshakes?

Last I looked there was.

you can lock the rear windows

Funny, not on my 2000 LS, at least not like the child saftey switch on the inside of the doors frame.

and why waste milkshakes

Guess some one didn't waste a sense of humor.

I've got a 2000, and there's a switch on the drivers door that has a window with an "x" on it, IIRC. Push down the side with the "X"ed window and it should lock the back windows. They will still operate from the front control but not from the back. Yeah, I know, my sense of humor sucks...

Its cool I wasn't being a big jerk actions ( or typing ) sometimes speak differently than words. I know of the switch but mine don't work and I just wish it was integrated with the child safety lock thats all.:D

How much time do you spend in the back seat that you'd want the thing to go all the way down? And if you spend a lot of time back there, I would think you'd want the windows closed anyways :D:lol:

It has to do with the rear wheel opening, and maximising the window width. It wont go all the way because there isnt room, in front of the rear wheel opening.

One of my friends used to drive around like that, it got annoying and we gave him the nickname "Fresh Air Freddy".
