Does anyone know if the rear wheel bearings can be replaced without replacing the entire hub assembly? I've seen people in this forum say you have to replace the whole assembly. But, I also see where auto parts suppliers sell just the replacement (Timken) bearings.

from ford your are correct....the complete knuckle ass only. Aftermarket????

the rear knuckle has a bearing pressed into the knuckle and the hub is pressed into the center race of the wheel bearing. the axle slides into the center of the hub and is pulled in with a big multi piece axel nut. i took the knuckles off and took em to the ford dealer with the bearings i bought online and they pressed em for $40ea
