Rear Shocks Follow Up - Pep Boys Damaged my Mark

you guys dont think the collision shop at the lincoln dealer will do a good job? They quoted me a little less then the other body shops. I went to Maaco (I knew theyd price high), and two local guys, aside from the dealership.

If anyone knows a good body shop in south florida (greater palm beaches) i would be more than happy to check it out.

Lincoln dealer? Heck, take the check, cash it and have the work done for MUCH less and a reputable body shop. I have NEVER found a dealer that did good body work, only body shops.

huh:confused: i took my gen 2 to some of the local body shops for a quote on touch up work they wanted $1500+ the local Ford dealership did it for about $200

Yea i dont know, I figured the dealer would be the best bet at getting the job done right. Not only that but they would have all the paint and supplies on hand which would save me a bit. Its Delray Lincoln/Mercury, they seem like good guys, and have helped me out with parts a lot for my Marks over the years. If anyone has a better suggestion i'm more than willing to investigate all avenues.

Any body shop will have paint or supplies on hand. If the dealer is cheaper, go for it, but traditionally they cost more.

I had some collision work done, the dealer wanted twice the amount of the shop and the shop actually listed more parts to replace than the dealer.

I would agree with unity.... I found local body shops to be better than the dealerships body shops...

I'm really lucky to have an absolutely awesome body shop close to me, they will be doing a little touch up work on my car this spring...
