On my 98 Conti the drivers-side rear door is not able to be opened. The problem started that the door latch wouldn't hold the door closed. I got it to stay semi closed with the door "locked". Then I had to bounce on it to get to open and I sprayed the latch with some silicone and the door closed (latched). Now when I went to open it the door won't open. I tried to hold up on the manual "lock stem" (on the top of the door inside) and pull and push from both inside and out. It seems as if the latch mechanisim is locked up somehow (child lock is not on). I can't open the door to check it out though. Anyone else ever have had this problem??????????Anyone know the process of repair????????????? Doug
