I have a 2003 Lincoln LS that has a weird problem? The rear interior door handle is snapping back when released very hard and makes a loud click type noise.
I removed the door panel and a small plastic piece with a small black gear fell out of the rear door handle. It's a quarter turn type install and the gear meshes with the door handle to slow it down when released. Very quick and easy to install but mine has one of the plastic ears broken off and won't stay in place.
I have not been able to find it separately from the door handle?? Here is a picture of it installed in a door handle.
I am hoping somebody has a rear door on a parts car and can help me out?
