I have subs in the trunk and because of that I am getting a rattle from the rear deck. The trunk still rattles even with a dynamat kit on it, but it doesnt effect the sound, the only thing i can heat is the rear deck. Is there anything that i can do to eliminate the rattle? I know in some cars the rear deck is a crumple zone so removing it or cutting it can be detremental. I have a 2003 if that makes a diference. I'm just looking for different methods of removing rattle because i know some of you have subs and i was just curious what you guys have done...

I posted a similiar problem awhile back and got a bunch of funny but smartass remarks. What I finally did was removed my rear deck and anywhere that metal was touching metal or plastic I put some velcro (just the soft side) inbetween these parts. Also check your rear deck speaker grills. Mine we bent out where they bend around the rear deck to hold them in place. I flattened them so they wouldn't be vibrating against the lower rear deck (the piece under the carpeted rear deck) That pretty much fixed my problem.

Yeah, and they were well-deserved! And the best one was:

"Subs? Rattle? Duh??"

Too funny!
