Question can you replace a rear bearing with buying the entire hub assy? Been looking around a I know you can buy the bearing but after talking to the Lincoln dealer, all I keep hearing is.....its $900 for the whole thing. Anyone?

Yes you can. I think I bought a bearing at NAPA about a year and a half ago. Not an easy job and you might need to get the bearing pressed out. I tried to get mine out myself but ran into too many problems. Had an independent mechanic do it and they did it for about $400.00.

ok so looking at diagrams im kinda confused the round bearing is pressed into the hub? and thats what goes bad

the bearing presses into the knuckle and the hub spline presses into the center of the bearing. i ordered mine from rockauto.com about $25ea. i took the rear knuckles off myself and took it to the dealer to press them out and press the new ones in. that was $20ea in labor
