Got a nice clean 96 trans from ThomasA awhile back for my 93. Did the jmod, new extension housing gasket, extension rear seal, and torque converter seal. Put in a new 93 TCC, my almost new MLPS, 96 Mustang GT auto trans mount, SCP cross member rubbers, and using the 93 harness. Got a Maurader/Mach TC from Lonnie that was gone through and upped the stall to around 3k rpm.

Had old trans out in less than 4 hrs, on my back, in the garage. While it is out I'm installing a new IAC and O2 sensors. EGR tube looks to have been replaced already so I'll leave that alone. Had a spare 93 drive shaft that's got new u-joints and had the balance checked.

Hopefully I got the jmod right! Updated 1-2 accum piston and both springs per Jerry's specs. Put both springs in 1-2 and left spring out of 2-3.

Before you all rip me for doing a 96 trans, it was cheap and delivered to my door. I have the trans out of the junkyard CE saved back for the black 93. Hope to shove it all back in on Sunday.

Sounds great I cant believe youre doing it on youre back in the garage. What do you have the car on stands? I got spoiled when I started working at a shop. hope it all goes good.

Hell Ya... should shift like new...

With no shudder and slipping. Can't wait to mat it and fell the TC come on.

On stands and concrete. Beats the hell out the gravel driveway. My dad hada shop from 1970-1980 so I know how spoiled one can get. Break it on Fri night, fix for Sat night. Lifts, air jacks/tools, all the good stuff.

This week will be good week to break it in at the track.

That's was the plan but I didn't get it in today, family stuff popped up this morning, and I'm helping a guy with an aftermarket HID install on 97 over the phone. He's killing me. Cut all kinds of wires tryin to find power then asks fro help

Always Monday after work, and Tuesday I hope it's done.

Finally got it in yesterday. Couldn't do it alone, so my brother came over and helped out. Biggest PITA was getting the TC in all the way. I jacked with that for a good 20 min trying to get that 3rd clunk. Supposed to rain Tues so if it does I should be driving it soon.

Four words...

Freaking rain! HELL YEAH!

Got the car back together and running. To wet to get on it but I can tell the JMOD was a success and I'm going to like it! Leaving the spring out of 2-3 accum was a good call. Nice firm shifts, no shudder or slipping.

Since I've had this one the TC/trans have been crap and a Yugo could smoke me off the line. Not anymore.
