The past week or so, I've been getting random temperature warnings. I'll be driving within normal operating conditions and the temperature gauge will rise from halfway to the top in around 2 seconds. It will stay on for around 2 minutes and reduce engine power. Afterwards the warning will go away and the temperature gauge will drop back to normal levels. I don't notice any smoking or smells from underneath the hood so I'm guessing its got to be the sensor. Any ideas?
