I was going home last nit from wrok, about 6:30pm and all of a sudden i hear this load bang and I'm thinking that I blew a tire. No I ran over something that tore a hole in my exhuast pipe. Half way between the resonators and the downpipe. Man was it load. Then I notice pulled over 3 other cars that must have hit that something also. I went to my favorite muffle shop Gene's in Downey, CA and he takes a look and says " man this was something pretty hard, lucky it didn;t hit the gas tank or rear diff. " Then we notice this big gash in the rack/pinion support. About 20 min later Craig had back on the raod nice as ever. Boy was it load with that hole in the pipe.

I work with a lday who drives an old Ford Escort. She hit what she believes to have been a metal stud and it punched a hole in her floor right below the gas pedal. She got lucky thta's as far as it went!
