thats weird, works exactly like that on my 2nd gen, if you want them on auto, set it to auto, if you do not want them on auto, set them on anything other than auto (the very first setting)
where other than right in the middle of the windshield do you think would work so much better?

Maybe they put the 02 setup in your Gen 2.

Ok I checked this morning.
The stalk says auto and there are 5 settings before constant slow and fast.
But when it is hooked up to the sensor the 5 settings are all for sensitivity not just the first one.
