Ragtop LS

Imagine a lowered 06 with carriage top and chrome sentas? LOL.

Every gen I i see is pretty beat up.

But also most gen II's are as well. People seem to not take really good car of these cars. Ive only seen one LS that look better than mine in terms of paint and that was a dark cherry 06 that looked garage kept.

Sad to hear that. Guess some of us gen 1 owners are keeping them up.

I'm not to fond of them. I dislike the amber on the bumper, headlights, and the whole rear end. Some of them done up properly like pektels look nice.

My Gen 1 isnt beat up at all.

Rod isn't going to like regardless but Black may say I'm doing okay for 209,000 on the body of my Gen 1. Original paint except on the rear bumper and front bumper cover. Had them shot a few years ago because they were showing their age even though the car has always been garaged between the original owner and myself. LSE wing was an add on last winter so I am not making it part of the "original paint" statement.

In general the ones on here are an exception to what's on the streets.

Looks great and I hope mine can last as long.

Thanks Black. I know you "grade" hard so for you to say it's okay, I know I must be doing alright. :)

I ain't doubting you, first gens are nice cars, but I'd much prefer a second gen.

I'd take a first gen over a fwd econobox any day ;)

I would certainly hope you would take a gen 1 over an econobox. . LOL

Yes i do.

Im very critical of these cars. I would be way further in mods if mine were paid off.

Body Kit, wrap the top, tune, and a 75 shot of nos and I will basically call it a day for 2012. I really want to paint the whole car but the paint is actually in pretty good shape. Honestly, the money for the engine build basically has eaten paint job money....at least for this year. LOL.

Did you already replace all the suspension?

The body can last another 200K but i would replace everything else. Its worth it with a new engine.

Yep. Last Spring before the engine went in. Everything up front. The rear end began getting done yesterday. I have truly made a commitment to keeping this LS around for years to come. LOL.

marcredd ive never seen any pics of your LS, I must say it's the nicest white gen 1 on LVC for sure.

Thanks man... I appreciate the words. It has been a great car so it has been a joy to feed my car fetish even more and take care of it. LOL.
