I changed the fan on my '03 LS8 and thought it kind of sucked, but the radiator is a huge PITA!!! There is soo much stuff packed in there, and lots of the screws are hard to get to, and there's little room to pull the radiator out. There is just no room, and the radiator had mounts hanging of of it. Anybody else done this job and have any tips to offer?

I pulled the drivers side out first. That's about the only advice I can offer other than pull really hard and be sure not to break something when u do.

It went back together without too much issue. I stayed underneath and had a buddy help from the top. I probably had about 4 hours into the job including bleeding. I bought a thermostat but didn't change it. The car still is running too hot, but it's not leaking water any more. It was running about 233F on the scan gauge. The high speed fan turns on about 225F, so it's on high all the time. Also found a piece of Prestone foil bottle seal in the suction of the auxilary pump. Changed the pump, so the heat should be better than last winter.
