ROTM, was it you awhile back who suggested using CLR to flush the heater core? does anyone know if that can be used on the main radiator as well? I'm currently changing the tstat on my brown car.....even though the old one looks like it's opening okay

radiators are cheap...i bought a nice used one on ebay for like 50 bucks......do an anual flush with new 50/50 mix coolant and you'll be aight for a while.

Yes I use CLR all the time to free up heater cores. Works the nuts. The reason is because so much labor to get to heater core. If its just clogged up why replace core? The rad is easy to replace. Plus I never CLRed a rad.
