what do you guys use to get the cap off to fill the radiator my step brother filled the radiator up for me (thanks)and he just filled it up through the bottle then i told him you have to fill it through the cap in the middle of the engine and he tried to get it off and messed it all up now i cant get it off... this is why i dont let people touch my car espically since i didnt ask him to do it...

The radiator is filled at the bottle. That cap is part of the bleeding process.

oh i thought you fill it from that that cap that is in the middle of the motor..the one that has the hexagon shape in it...

definitely dont wanna mess with the engine fill cap unless you have air in the system. otherwise add to the degas bottle as needed.

no i replaced the radiator cause it had a small crack in it so it was empty ...and the car was at my dads house cause i was painting it in his garage, when my stepbrother filled it up,i just didnt want to get air in the system..i had a mark viii and you filled it the same way..

There's a specific bleeding procedure for filling/bleeding the radiator. One doesn't just fill the radiator. That cap is used for bleeding, not filling the radiator. AFAIK the only semblance between the LS and Mark is they were both made by Lincoln.

I did use the cap by the t stat (the top of the "tree" so to speak) for the first fill of the cooling system. After that, I added to the degas bottle.

well i read the tech article that said you fill it through the engine fill cap so i figured that is the right way to do it, but my stepbrother messed the cap up so is there any way to get it off ???
