It has come to my attention that the expansion tank in my rad have begun seeping threw @ the rad core. I've got a hold of a new replacement rad, await the t-stat and all the hoses are on the way also. I was just looking for any help or tips or even some tech articles i can print out for replacing the rad. As ill be doing the work myself. Thanks all

What about backflushing the heatercore? I was reading some other posts that said that just using the garden hose in one end just wont cut it?

any comments on that?

I was readin some other posts on flushing the system. If im replacing the rad and im draining everything out would i want to flush everything out including the hearter core?

Im going to be doing the work probly tomorrow. thats why im looking for all the input i can get. thx

Swapping out radiators is simple on the Marks. Unplug the Radiator fan plug, unbolt the fan shroud, pull it out - the fan comes out with the shroud -, then unbolt the radiator from the two top mounting brackets. Pull off the hoses, and yank out the radiator.

It don't get any simpler than that.

You didn't answer his question, he didn't ask about the mechanical part of replacing the radiator. From my experience with other cars, I dont think you have to worry about flushing anything. You should be fine with draining the system and installing to fill with new coolant/water mix.

When im replacing the rad, i also plan i changing the thermostat. Was just wondering what about be the best thermostat to get?
