My friend told me at 30-45-60 roll just keep it in 2nd with od off, omg did my car pull hard, does this mess anything up and what do u guys do on a roll, I kept it in 2nd from 30-120 and all it did was pull really hard

If you are serious about racing you should be in 1st gear from a 30mph roll if you have stock gears. Don't race from 40-50mph from a roll in drive, it's the dead spot for these trannys.

Yes at 30 you'd want to be in manual first for a roll race. If your car is faster from 30 in second than in first something isn't right. At about 40-60 you shouldn't bother racing since that is such a dead spot at the bottom of 2nd (this is all assuming stock gears BTW.) But from a 75 roll these cars perform quite well.

120mph seems real high for 2nd, btw. Seems like you'd have hit the rev limiter (around 6500rpm) closer to 105-110.

Stock gears (3.07)...30mph 1st gear, 70 second gear.
LSC gears (3.27)...30mph 1st gear, 60-63 second gear.

If you are manually shifting a stock transmission, (as in 1-2, 3-4, or 4-2) say bye-bye to your one-way clutch in the trans. It will only be a matter of time when you lose 3rd and 4th gears and will be stuck driving around in 2nd.

Unless, of course, you drive a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. Then no fear my friend.:p
