R&R Front & Rear Emblems?

I'm planning to paint my grille and surround. Has anyone removed the factory badges and then re-applied them, or do they get damaged during removal?

They come out and go back in just fine. Did it when I had the McLaren grille.

I removed the factory emblem off my stock grille and used on my McLaren grille. Put some painters tape around the emblem, so not to damage the grille. Use a flathead screw driver to pry up the emblem a bit. Use fishing line or dentalflause and slowing work the fishing line/dentalflause back and forth till the emblem is off. You can use any kind of adhesive to reapply the emblem later on. Go slowing. Good luck.

heating it up a little with a heat gun(or hair dryer) will help alot

There is a vent hole in the rear of the gril under the emblem, if you use a heat gun you can push on it from there to make it lift off. that is waht I did.
