I know you need at least a 42 MM offset for a 20 X 8.5 rim on a 245/35/20 tire not to rub when lowered. But would a 38 MM offset on a 19 X 8.5 rub? 245/40/19 tire size.

determines if you've lowered your ls at all and by what amount. such as I used eibach spring so I should be golden but spring springs might be seeing a different catagory :P

I have springtech springs (lower the vehicle quite a bit, actually), 19" wheels (sorry, can't remember if they are 8 or 9" wide) with 245/40/19 tires. Minimal rubbing, the the clearance is REALLY close on the back. 42 offset.

Eibachs-

4 MM is so minute I would think it might work. I'm torn over about 4 sets of wheels. I like 19's on the LS but I am the kind of guy who wants it to be right the first time. I just didn't know if losing an inch meant the other 4 MM wouldn't affect it.

I think you are going to see a bigger difference by just choosing a different tire. Go with a little narrower tire with the 38 offset, and you should be fine.

235's should do it.

I'd much prefer 18s and keep it on the performance side :-D hell 18x8 would be a nice size (when I get around to making my forged rims)

Sweet I'll keep all this in mind. It's just my daily driver but I'm hoping to get rims before summer is over.
