has anyone ever had a problem with their car dieing under hard acceleration? last night i was running about 55 i punched it and it reved up to 5 grand then just died, i have no idea what is wrong with it.....

Could be a clogged fuel filter. Pumps sometimes go, but filter is easier to change and check.

where is the fuel filter located?! ive searched all along the lines and never saw it. is it hidden?

Search the LS forum. It's been discussed here within the last several months, and one of the threads included the instructions.

It sounds like a fuel pump problem. I had this happen to mine about 4 weeks ago. I was getting on the interstate hard one morning and the car started to hesitate real bad and jerk. Once I left off of it it stopped and drove normal. Everytime I floored it the car would just jump and jerk. Took it to the dealer and they ran a test and was showing lower pressure from the fuel pump. The replaced the fuel pump and jet pump for a whopping $800. Runs like a top now.

Lou did a how to on replacing the pumps but expect to pay around $500 just for the pumps.

did yours ever throw a flashing check engine light? that sounds exactly like what my car is doing! and i searched and couldnt find about the filter? any help would be great guys!

The CEL did come on but the code flashed an overheating problem. However, I have heard that the CEL for the fuel pump is common though. This makes the second time I have had to replace my fuel pump.
